Nos
Repaires

In the serene surroundings of their favourite retreats, five characters devote themselves to their private rituals. Whether in a garden, underground, or as seen through a window, their movements are a kind of search for transcendence. Will their transformations prove fragile or lasting? Observing them at a comfortable distance, you alone bear witness: you alone can decide…

Created by five pairs of Vancouver-based artists, Nos Repaires is a series of outdoor micro-performances that explore what is essential in a world where the ground is shifting beneath our feet. These intimate tableaux combine to form a mysterious and dreamlike panorama juxtaposing birth and death, goldfish and glitter, sequins and the sacred, pleasure and pain.
