An expert in bioethics and assistant professor at Simon Fraser University, Jean-Christophe combines scientific rigor with creative sensitivity. His research on the ethics and governance of artificial intelligence and emerging health technologies, coupled with his interdisciplinary projects, fosters a constructive dialogue between science, culture, and society, thereby enriching societal and civic debates.

Guillaume works in the field of research funding for the Government of Canada. He joined our board of directors in 2022 after returning to Vancouver. He aims to support the company in its development and to ensure the sustainability of the work accomplished by generations of Francophones on the West Coast.

Catherine Miller

Treasurer

Titular of a Bachelor's degree in Commerce from McGill University and a Professional Accounting Diploma, Catherine joined the Manning Elliott CPA office for most of her career, starting as an accountant, then moving on to become an associate with a portfolio of clients ranging from private companies to non-profit organizations and public sector entities. Spending time with her family is one of her favorite pastimes, aside from travelling, cross-country skiing, gardening, and reading.

Sophian Alkurdi

Advisor

Sophian is a composer with over 10 years of experience in music composition and production for visual arts and performing arts. He aims to build more bridges between the world of theatre and the world of audiovisual media, and to create opportunities for artists and creators in British Columbia.

Marie Boyer

Advisor

A business consultant at TELUS, Marie is an engineer specializing in data analysis with experience in strategic planning and governance. A devoted audience member of Théâtre la Seizième, she aims to support the theatre's mission and contribute to the development of French-language theatre in a minority setting.

Laurence Gagnon

Advisor

Laurence joined the board of directors of la Seizième in the fall of 2024 as an advisor. She is passionate about media and communications, as well as visual and performing arts. She serves as an event and communications coordinator for the Office of Francophone and Francophile Affairs at Simon Fraser University.

Audrey Morin-Beaulieu

Advisor

A graduate from Université Laval and Simon Fraser University, Audrey has been teaching the arts in Vancouver’s francophone school system for over ten years. Her teaching and research focus on identity development through visual and dramatic arts among the city’s multicultural francophone minority communities. As a multidisciplinary artist, her practice includes drawing, painting, and textile work. Joining La Seizième represents a wonderful new way for her to engage with the francophone community of B.C.

Guillaum Tzélépoglou

Advisor

A producer and journalist at Radio-Canada in Vancouver, Guillaume joined la Seizième's board in 2024 to contribute to the strategic reflection of the organization. Of French origin, he became aware of the importance of the place of culture, and particularly of French theatre, in a Francophone minority setting.
