Théâtre la Seizième is a charitable organization whose mission is to produce, create, present, and promote French-language theatre in British Columbia. We are committed to respecting your privacy and your communication preferences. This is why we have developed this Privacy Policy, which outlines how we collect, use, and protect your personal information.
- COLLECTION OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
When you purchase a subscription, tickets, a workshop, a school performance, or make a donation to Théâtre la Seizième, we collect personal information such as your name, address, phone number, and email address. We may also collect financial information. This information is used solely to properly process your requests and transactions.
We also collect your personal information when you subscribe to our monthly newsletter, contact us by email, phone, or mail, or participate in a contest to win show tickets or season subscriptions.
When you browse our website, we collect non-identifiable information such as your IP address, browser type, operating system, and the domain name of the website from which you accessed our site. This information helps us measure the performance of our online platforms. We also use “cookies,” which are temporary files stored on your hard drive to facilitate navigation on our site. You can configure your browser to block or delete cookies if you wish.
Please note: Online transactions (individual ticket and subscription purchases) are processed by Tuxedo. Tuxedo collects only the personal information required for ticket and subscription purchases. We invite you to consult their Privacy Policy for more information.
- USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
Following a transaction made by phone or on our website, we may contact you by email, phone, or mail to send you a purchase confirmation, receipt, ticket reminder, contract, satisfaction survey, or any other information related to that transaction.
Two to four times a year, we send promotional materials related to our programming or fundraising campaigns by mail. If you do not wish to receive information by post, simply let us know by writing to communications@seizieme.ca or at the following address:

- EMAIL COMMUNICATIONS
Sent approximately once a month, our newsletter La Seizième édition includes information about our shows, company news, artist interviews, promotions and contests, as well as updates from the French-language theatre and community sector.
When you subscribe to our newsletter (either by completing the subscription form on our website or by checking the box during an online ticket purchase indicating that you wish to receive our newsletter), you consent to receiving it by email, and your email address is added to our mailing list.
You may unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link at the bottom of our newsletter or by contacting us at communications@seizieme.ca.
- PROTECTION AND MANAGEMENT OF PERSONAL INFORMATION
We are committed to storing, maintaining, and protecting your personal data in accordance with the BC Personal Information and Privacy Act (PIPA). Your personal information will not be shared, rented, exchanged, or disclosed to third parties in any way, except where permitted or required by law.
